Hey everyone, since there seems to be some misunderstanding as to proper application of the rules, I thought I'd post reasons\examples for each rule, so we may better understand the how and why behind them all.
tl;dr - People aren't getting it, so today I'll be teaching.

1. Keep the content appropriate for the ages of people in chat
- While most of the people in chat are over 18, not everyone is. If there are people in chat who are teenaged, do not post NSFW images or links. If someone in chat asks for a momentary ban an NSFW, please respect their request - they may have younger friends\family nearby, and would like to avoid exposing them to violence or sex. This rule is in place for legal reasons as much as civil\moral ones.

2. Do not change your username in the chatroom
- On an IRC, changing your name is a simple as typing in a command. It can therefore be difficult to keep track of who everyone is, if we allow constant name changes. If you decide you don't like your current name, changing it to something else is fine, but try not to do it too often. If someone decided to make a new name every day (which would be easy to do) then everyone else might lose track of who that person is. This rule is in place so that everyone may have an identity in chat.

3. Please keep this a homophobia/transphobia free place
- We have a wide variety of people in chat, and we like it that way. We do not allow for discrimination based on...really anything. If you wanna hang out here, please leave the hate at the door.

4. No spamming
- Exactly what it says on the tin. Don't post random nonsense rapidly to fill your screen. Go play an MMO for that.

5. No posting images that can be detrimental to people's health. ie/ gifs that could induce seizures or headaches
- The Internet is one place where it's normally impossible to physically harm another person, however in the case of rapidly flashing .gifs\videos this can cause harm to people with epilepsy. It's just plain annoying to everyone else. Please don't post these images\videos.

6. Since English is the language understood by all members, it will be the language used in main chat. If you want to speak in another language with another member, please take the conversation to PM
- English is the primary language in this chat - if you can't understand it, you're gonna have a bad time. That said, this is an anime chat, and almost all of us speak a second\third language on at least a rudimentary level, and there is no formal ban on "not-english." You can expect to see plenty of broken Japanese, as well as any one of a dozen other languages from time to time. However, if you find out another person in chat fluently speaks the same language you do, and you want to speak it with them, please take the full conversation to PM - when people see an active chat in a language they don't speak, they tend to get quiet, even if they want to speak.

7. No loli/shota or guro content
- Basically, no illegal sexual content. Most people don't want to see it, and none of us want the legal hassle.

Ok, done. Hope this helps everyone understand why we have these rules, and what they mean. ^^
See yall in chat!
